Regardless of the conclusion of the investigation into the explosion, according to NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, Russia “bears ultimate responsibility as it continues its illegal assault against Ukraine.”

The missile explosion that killed two individuals appears to have been an “unfortunate accident” and not a “deliberate attack,” according to the president of Poland.

Andrzej Duda tweeted that there was “no evidence at this time that it was a Russian-fired missile.”

He continued, “There are numerous signs that it was an air defense missile that landed on Polish soil.”

On Wednesday morning, US President Joe Biden raised doubt on earlier allegations that the missile that struck a grain silo in Przewodow was launched by Moscow.

There is tentative evidence to the contrary.

It is improbable that it was launched from Russia, based on the trajectory, but we’ll see.”

The Polish prime minister, Mateusz Morawiecki, stated that his country was still considering the potential of initiating the NATO Article 4 procedure, but it appeared that it may not be necessary.

Ukraine war 3

In a statement to the media, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said, “Yesterday’s explosion occurred as Russia launched a major wave of rocket assaults across Ukraine.

An inquiry into this occurrence is currently underway, and we must await its conclusion.

However, there is no evidence that this was the result of a planned strike, nor is there evidence that Russia is contemplating offensive military activities against NATO.

According to our early investigation, the incident was likely caused by a Ukrainian air defense missile fired to defend Ukrainian territory from cruise missile attacks from Russia.

“However, let me be clear: Ukraine is not to blame. Russia is ultimately accountable for continuing its illegal war against Ukraine.

Russia maintains that it did not launch the missile.

A defense ministry spokeswoman informed Russia’s state-run RIA news agency that their strikes on November 15 were no closer than 35 kilometers (22 miles) from the Polish border.

They asserted that pictures of the scene revealed the debris to be a Ukrainian S-300 missile.
