Nawaz Modi, the estranged spouse of Gautam Singhania, an Indian textile magnate, has recently levelled additional accusations against him, including espionage and surveillance.
The Indian billionaire and Ms. Modi have been engaged in divorce settlement negotiations for the past few months. However, it is reported that the negotiations came to a complete halt when she demanded 75% of the fortune worth $1.4 billion (£1.1 billion) that Mr. Singhania possessed.
Accusations of Espionage and Harassment
A copy of the newly filed police complaint states that Ms. Modi and her children, who presently reside in her father’s residence, have been “living in constant fear” for their lives as a result of Mr. Singhania’s “constant harassment, threats, and spying.”
She has lodged allegations against Mr. Singhania and his staff, alleging that they installed spyware in her vehicle and forcibly occupied her father’s property in Udwada, Gujarat, a western Indian state.
