As he was questioned by Romania’s organized crime section on Wednesday, influential figure Andrew Tate stated that the case against him was “void.”

Along with his brother Tristan, he is currently detained on suspicion of rape and human trafficking.

“In Romania, there is no justice,” stated Mr. Tate. Tristan Tate stated that “no evidence” existed against him.

The police have not yet filed accusations against the brothers who have been detained since December 29.

A judge extended their detention, along with that of the two Romanian ladies held with them, until February 27 last week.

Prosecutors believe the brothers recruited victims by enticing them and falsely claiming they want a romantic connection or marriage.

They claim that the victims were then transferred to houses on the outskirts of Bucharest, where they were sexually exploited and made to make pornographic content.

The brothers have disputed the claims that have been made against them.

A former Romanian policewoman detained alongside the two brothers was also questioned on Wednesday.

Mr. Tate said, “Of course not,” when asked if he had harmed any females.

“They are aware that we have not committed any wrongdoing,” he told reporters.

Despite being banned from sites such as TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube for making misogynistic remarks, the controversial online personality and former kickboxing world champion have millions of fans online.

Despite his imprisonment, his Twitter account was reinstated in November and remains active.

Mr. Tate has lived in Romania for five years. He has previously stated that he moved because he enjoyed living in places where corruption was readily available to anyone.
