There is no evidence, according to Danish police, that a shooting at a Copenhagen shopping mall was terrorism-related.
Sunday afternoon’s shooting resulted in three fatalities and numerous injuries, four of which were life-threatening.
At a press conference on Monday morning, the chief inspector of Copenhagen, Soren Thomassen, revealed that one of the three victims was a Danish-Russian citizen, while two Swedes and two Danes were critically injured.
He also stated that the shooter most likely acted alone and chose his victims at random.
Mr. Thomassen stated that while the motive was unclear, there was no evidence of terrorism and that the suspect would be arraigned on preliminary murder charges later on Monday.
The police were called at 5:37 p.m., and 11 minutes later, a 22-year-old man of “Danish ethnicity” was arrested.
The incident took place in the Fields shopping center south of Copenhagen.
The alleged shooter was captured on camera wearing knee-high socks, a vest or sleeveless shirt, and what appeared to be a rifle.

She added, “He is only shooting into the crowd, not the ceiling or the floor.”
