The monarch, who suspended significant public responsibilities in March to endure cancer treatment, was photographed seated at his Buckingham Palace desk during the recording of his audio message. The message was scheduled to be played for a congregation at Worcester Cathedral on Thursday during his absence.

Following his and the Princess of Wales’s cancer diagnoses, the King stated in a personal Easter message that he would continue to serve the nation with “my whole heart.”

On Thursday, before the Easter weekend, the pre-recorded audio was played during his absence at a Royal Maundy service at Worcester Cathedral.

The King, who disclosed his cancer diagnosis in February, discussed his “extraordinary prayer” for Easter and conveyed his “deep regret” at being unable to partake.

Following the lectionary account of Jesus washing the disciples’ feet, he declared, “The Maundy Service holds an exceptionally dear place in my heart.

The individual stated that the verse in question, as recorded in the Gospel of John, “washed the disciples’ troubled and weary feet to their great surprise.” This verse is derived from the life of Jesus Christ.

The monarch stated that Jesus’ action “exemplified how we ought to care for and serve one another” and that “we as a nation greatly benefit and require those who extend a friendly hand to us, particularly in times of need.

The heir apparent to the throne for the past eighteen months, aged 75, stated that it brought to mind the oath he took to emulate Christ “not to be served, but to serve” at the commencement of his coronation.

He stated, “That I have always endeavoured to do and continue to do with my entire heart.”

Today, I offer a special prayer that our Lord’s example of selfless service may persistently motivate and fortify our communities.

He said, “May God bless you all this Easter.”

Midway through March, the monarch, who has suspended significant public responsibilities to receive outpatient treatment, was photographed at his desk in the 18th Century Room of Buckingham Palace as he recorded his message.

Although the King refrained from explicitly mentioning his health or that of his daughter-in-law, his remarks can be construed as an indication of how the nation reacted to the difficulties he and Kate faced.

A month ago, he disclosed that the cards and messages of support he received from well-wishers had moved him to tears.

During a visit to Shropshire on Wednesday, well-wishers presented the Queen with posters for the Princess of Wales. She expressed that Kate would be “ecstatic” to receive the posters.

The King delivers this message as he prepares to attend church with the Queen on Easter Sunday—his most significant public appearance and central royal engagement since his cancer diagnosis.

A diminished number of royals will be in attendance to mitigate the health hazards commonly associated with large gatherings.

In their absence will be Prince William, the Princess of Wales, and their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

In light of Kate’s declaration that she is undergoing cancer treatment, the family is uniting for the Easter Break.

Friday’s nationwide video message from Kate disclosed that she is undergoing preventative chemotherapy.

The statement was issued after weeks of worldwide social media speculation and conspiracy theories regarding her whereabouts following her absence from official engagements since December of last year.

The 42-year-old woman had abdominal surgery scheduled for January, which she reported was a success.

Despite initial suspicions that her condition was benign, postoperative tests revealed the presence of malignancy.
