Easter Sunday may be 2023’s warmest day at 18C.

The Met Office forecasts that the Easter weekend will be “fairly pleasant” with “some sunshine” before rain arrives on the Bank Holiday Monday.

Easter Sunday could be the warmest day of the year so far, with temperatures reaching 18 degrees Celsius in portions of the United Kingdom.

The Met Office forecasts that Easter weekend will be “fine and relatively pleasant” with “some sunshine” before the majority of locations experience rain on Monday’s bank holiday.

Met Office meteorologist Aidan McGivern predicted “plenty of fine weather” on Good Friday, with “frosty starts in spots” but “sunny skies for the vast majority.”

Warm sunshine” on Friday could bring highs of “15C or 16C in the south, 12C to 14C further north,” with 16C expected in London and 15C in Cardiff.

But due to low clouds and fog, the North Sea littoral will experience temperatures between 10 and 11 degrees Celsius cooler.

After a “frosty start” on Saturday, “the vast majority” of the United Kingdom can anticipate “sunny spells” with highs between 14 and 16 degrees Celsius and “extremely pleasant” conditions, according to Mr. McGivern.

Despite “a few more clouds in the sky,” Easter Sunday will also begin with “plenty of fine weather.”

“Bright or sunny spells will make it feel extremely pleasant, with temperatures possibly reaching 18C in parts of the Midlands, Wales, and the South East, the mid-teens elsewhere away from the North Sea coast, although parts of Norfolk and Yorkshire could feel somewhat warmer,” Mr. McGivern said.

Tom Morgan, a Met Office meteorologist, predicted that Sunday could be the warmest day of 2023 thus far.

“Easter Sunday is likely to be the warmest day of the year so far,” he said. “The highest temperature recorded in 2023 thus far was 17.8 degrees Celsius on March 30 in Suffolk, so we’ll likely see temperatures peaking at around 18 degrees Celsius on Easter Sunday.”

Unfortunately, it will become much more unsettled on Bank Holiday Monday, as is typical for the United Kingdom – the British have a thing for rain on Bank Holiday Mondays, don’t they?

The majority of locations will see rain on Monday, but it will be primarily in the form of showers, so there will be a few sunny intervals; it won’t be a deluge for most locations.

He predicted that Monday will be “slightly cooler but still relatively warm.”

On Good Friday, Saturday, and the majority of Easter Sunday, the weather will be pleasant for the majority of the population.
