Olivia, who has been visually impaired since her 17-month diagnosis, received an invitation to Windsor Castle after the Queen learned of her appearance at Buckingham Palace during the pre-recorded King’s Christmas message.

A blind pupil, afflicted by a cerebral neoplasm, performed a rendition of a traditional Christmas carol for Queen Camilla during an invitation to Windsor Castle for tea.

Olivia Taylor, 7, delightedly said, “Your Majesty, I salute you,” as the Queen entered the castle’s White Drawing Room. The Queen was there to partake in a private tea with her family.

The Queen served Olivia her initial serving of tea, which she declared “lovely.” In response, the princess exclaimed, “Oh, you adore tea; there you are; henceforth, you may partake in tea.”

Olivia, who has been blind since her 17-month diagnosis, was invited to the royal residence when the Queen learned that she had performed as part of the pre-recorded King’s Christmas message at Buckingham Palace with the Bexley Music Primary Choir.

The girl then performed “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” to an enthusiastic round of acclaim.

Olivia was accompanied to their meal by her parents, Lisa and Matt, and their four-year-old sibling Imogen. Guests enjoyed scones, Santa cakes, and personalised biscuits.

Additionally, she took along her dependable companion teddy, Corrie, who had accompanied her to numerous hospital appointments and MRI scans. Corrie was granted a designated seat at the table.

Royal Joy Amid Challenges

Olivia, who has been undergoing chemotherapy for the majority of her life since being diagnosed with a grade one brain tumour, is currently on vacation, Mrs. Taylor told Camilla. The Queen responded, “It’s so wonderful that this has all transpired while she is in such good health.

As Olivia was shown the room, renowned for the Paddington Bear scene filmed there with the late Queen in commemoration of the platinum jubilee, she was able to perceive the interior design.

Camilla subsequently described the purple jewellery she had crafted for the queen as “beautiful” prior to donning it.

Olivia and her sister were presented with goodie packages containing a Christmas tree ornament, shortbread, socks, and a stuffed corgi.

Olivia hugged the plush corgi and laughed when the Queen said Corrie “was going to be a little bit envious.”

As she bid the ladies farewell, the Queen remarked, “[Olivia] was such a courageous young lady. It was a pleasure to meet her.” Following their photo opportunity with Queen Camilla, both sisters executed the curtsey they had been practicing.

Enchanting Moments in Royalty

Olivia looked at chain mail armour, a Christmas tree, and orb and sceptre reproductions in the Crimson Drawing Room. She also tried on replicas of the Queen’s headdress.

Olivia remarked that the afternoon was “really, really good” and that she “loved meeting the Queen” subsequent to the encounter.

Mrs. Taylor called the Queen “absolutely incredible” and “excellent with children” and “extremely warm.”

She stated, “It’s truly indescribable; we’re attempting to live in the present and create happy memories while on a break from chemotherapy.”

“Disabilities do not define individuals; while that may be a characteristic of hers, it is primarily due to her benevolent disposition.” “We are already in the present; all that is required is a slight adjustment; everything is sensory—odours, tastes, and touches.”

Olivia’s mother further stated that she might resume chemotherapy in the new year.
