The test
This traditional cosmetic artist’s trick, which has recently gained popularity on TikTok, is based on color theory: the study of how colors mix, match, and contrast (on your face or in your home).

The theory says that certain (quite unexpected) colors can be used to offset others, and in this case, dark blue under-eye circles can be diminished by using a concealer with a reddish hue. The procedure is straightforward. Apply a cream blush in a red/coral hue on the darkest areas, followed by your usual concealer.

The decision
I find the notion that we “must” repair every natural skin flaw quite tiring. It’s also worth noting that in France, concealing dark bags under the eyes isn’t a thing; there, they’re virtually a badge of honor, indicating that you’ve been up all night. But does it work? Yes, it does.
