Frankie Hough was in the vehicle with her two infant sons and nephew at the time of the collision. A GoFundMe page created to raise money for her family revealed that she was pregnant with a baby daughter.
Hollyoaks actors paid their respects to a pregnant mother of two who was killed in a car accident while traveling with her two sons and small nephew.
Frankie Jules-Hough, 38, had stopped on the hard shoulder of the M66 in Bury, Greater Manchester, to receive a phone call when the incident occurred.
Adil Iqbal, 22, from Accrington, Lancashire, who was driving a BMW, has acknowledged that his reckless driving caused her death.
Thomas, age nine, and Tobias, age four, were severely injured. Rocky, her two-year-old son, was also in the vehicle during the accident, which occurred on Saturday, May 13, and was also injured.
All were transported via air ambulance to the hospital, but Hough passed away two days later.
An acquaintance who created a GoFundMe page for Hough’s family stated that she was 18 weeks pregnant and expecting a daughter.
The appeal has raised over £52,000 of its target of £60,000.
Hough’s death shocked Hollyoaks actor Paul Danan, who played Sol.
He wrote, “I’ve just received the most startling and distressing news I’ve received in a very long time. Another dear, dear acquaintance who was so exceptional has passed away while carrying her unborn child and traveling with her two young sons and nephew. They were involved in a terrible automobile accident.”
In 2000 and 2001, Hough portrayed Jess Holt on the Channel 4 serial opera.
Danon continued by describing her as a “wonderful actress,” adding, “I admired her. I’m so confused right now”
He later uploaded a shot of them in a scene and an early 2000s Hollyoaks press photo.
James Redmond, a former Hollyoaks actor who portrayed Rory Finnigan on the show, commented, “Awful news, and so young. R.I.P., and prayers for her family.”
Lizzie Cundy and singer Lisa Moorish also commented on her death, conveying their sorrow.
Hough starred in Merseybeat, Heartbeat, Where the Heart Is, and Wire in the Blood.
Iqbal’s sentencing will occur on July 19.
