Adele says she’ll major in English literature following Las Vegas gigs.

After completing her impending Las Vegas residency, Grammy-winning British singer Adele plans to pursue a degree in English Literature.

During a Monday question-and-answer session with fans in Los Angeles, she stated, “After Vegas, I want to earn a degree in English Literature.

“If I hadn’t made it as a singer, I believe I would be teaching English literature.”

Beginning next month, the 34-year-old singer will perform a series of shows at the Caesars Palace hotel.

“I believe I employ my interest in English literature in my work. I wish I had attended college and gained that experience, but I’ll do it online with a tutor.”

She continued, “That is my objective for 2025, to obtain the certification.”

The news will be music to the ears of her former English teacher, Ms. McDonald, with whom she had an emotional unexpected reunion on stage during a star-studded ITV UK return event last year.

During An Audience with Adele, celebrities posed questions to the singer inside the London Palladium. Harry Potter and Love actress Emma Thompson spoke about her childhood influences.

She responded with a story about Ms. McDonald, adding, “She was so cool, personable, and likable that I eagerly anticipated my English classes.”

Adele added, “She left in eighth grade, but she introduced me to literature; I’ve always been intrigued with English, and now I compose lyrics.”

She was amazing, so engaging, and she made us care, and we knew she cared about us and such.

The artist was then shocked to see that Ms. McDonald was in the crowd, and the teacher joined the singer onstage.

Adele was so moved by her words, “You’re great sweetheart, I am so proud of you,” that she had to retouch her makeup before continuing with the performance.

Adele graduated from the Brit School of Performing Arts & Technology before commencing her ascent to the pinnacle of the pop star profession.

Adele, who resides in Los Angeles and dislikes touring, postponed her much-discussed Las Vegas engagement earlier this year, to the dismay of her fans, due to delivery delays and Covid. She will now begin performing in Sin City beginning next month.

The singer has unveiled a new music video to accompany her (latest) soulful breakup ballad, I Drink Wine, from her fourth studio album – the best-selling album of 2021 – in advance of her upcoming gigs.

In the film directed by Joe Talbot, she is seen floating down a river in a rubber ring while clutching a wine glass in one hand and an almost empty wine bottle in the other.

The actress, dressed in a glittering gold gown, is seen rolling her eyes at a happy-looking pair before tossing the empty wine bottle unceremoniously into the river.

She performed the song at the Brit Awards in February, when she was awarded album of the year for 30 and single of the year for Easy On Me.

Adele has topped the charts with four albums titled 19, 21, 25, and 30.

And if all goes well with her studies, we might anticipate a sequel titled 2.1… or perhaps 1st.
