The singer urged her 110 million Instagram followers to “remember that I’m doing my best” and to “go all out for me.”

Fans helped US sensation Billie Eilish through her Electric Picnic performance after she complained of feeling “extremely, extremely ill.

The audience sang along to tracks such as Happier Than Ever after the 21-year-old told her 110 million Instagram followers that she was “really suffering” before her Friday headlining performance at the Irish festival.

Social media videos depicted her performing her Barbie soundtrack song What Was I Made For while wearing a white Nike shirt and baseball cap.

Eilish had previously requested concert assistance from her admirers.

She wrote on her Instagram story, “I am incredibly, incredibly ill and really, truly suffering.”

“Because you know me, you know I wouldn’t cancel a show even if I were dying… (however, this does feel quite close lol), the performance must go on.

“We will meet again tonight! However, please bear in mind that I am doing my best and will need your assistance tonight. Go all out for me.”

In an emotional speech at the festival, former One Direction star Niall Horan, who sang Sinead O’Connor’s song Nothing Compares 2 U as a tribute to the late singer, mentioned his local roots.

The singer from Westmeath told the audience, “I wish I could put into words how this feels. Patrick Street in Mullingar leads to this.

“This is a country with fewer than five million people, and the noise we make around the world is insane. As long as you want me to, I’m delighted to fly the flag for our tiny nation all over the world.

“I adore our small nation. I’m thrilled to be here tonight. I adore everyone. I appreciate you coming out to see me so much.

“This is by far the largest solitary audience I’ve ever performed for, and I greatly appreciate the support from my home country.

“It’s wonderful to be back in the Midlands, less than an hour from home, and to have this. Thank you incredibly.”
