- Swift announces new album
- Features Post Malone, Florence
- Album releases April 19
Taylor Swift has confirmed that British group Florence + The Machine and American rapper Post Malone will feature on her upcoming album.
On Sunday, Swift announced the release of her upcoming album during a Grammy Awards acceptance speech.
The singer has now revealed the album’s track listing; it is titled The Tortured Poets Department.
Meanwhile, fans continue to speculate about the singer’s ability to perform at the Super Bowl on Sunday.
Swift’s upcoming album, set for release on April 19th, will include 16 tracks plus a bonus track.
Fans wondered if the 34-year-old, who had launched albums at earlier awards events, would debut new music at the program.
“Upon receiving the award for best pop vocal album, Swift said, “I want to say thank you to the fans by revealing a secret I’ve been keeping for the past two years.”
Swift posted an image of the physical album on social media on Monday.
Two collaborations are featured on the tracklist: Post Malone on the album’s opening track, Fortnight, and Florence + The Machine on Florida!!! Swift has not previously worked with either of these artists.
Swift’s Personal Reflections in Music
Swift traditionally designates the fifth track, titled “So Long, London,” as the most profound song on each of her albums.
Some fans have interpreted the title as a rebuttal or reference to her previous single London Boy, which discussed her former romantic involvement with Joe Alwyn in the English capital.
Additionally, there have been rumours that their relationship may have inspired songs including Down Bad, But Daddy I Love Him, I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can), and I Can Do It With A Broken Heart.

The Tortured Poets Department is the artist’s eleventh studio album. It is the first album entirely composed of new material from her since Midnights in October 2022.
Swift has also been re-recording all six of her early albums since 2019, when music mogul Scooter Braun acquired her master recordings from her former record label, Big Machine. They were subsequently sold to an investment firm.
The re-release of her 2014 album 1989 became the highest-grossing release of 2023.
Reputation and her self-titled debut are yet to be re-recorded.
