A variety of odd styles, bare baby bumps, sparkles, ruffles, metallics, and pearls were seen on the red carpet this year.

This year, there was something for everyone’s fashion preferences, plus much more.

Some stars chose typical red-carpet styles, while others wore eccentric costumes, intended to capture attention.

Sam Smith (above) chose the latter and looked to float away in this brilliant black, plastic outfit. We hope they were okay when they tried to sit down.

US artist and rapper Ashnikko’s eye-catching attire melded with her body like a second layer of incredibly odd skin, finished off with her distinctive blue hair.

Harry Styles, who won four trophies that night, donned a black jacket, slacks, and corsage.

Live performer Lizzo looked Good as Hell in a gold, full-length ruffle that framed her black metallic gown.

Eliza Rose, who was nominated for song of the year, wore Vivienne Westwood from head to toe. Including the late designer’s signature orb and pearl necklace.

Wet Leg, the British band with the most nominations, sported belts, lace, and ruffles with earth-toned suits and shirts, and shoes that appeared to be rather comfortable.

Nova Twins, who were nominated for best group, wore gorgeous outfits with hoop petticoats, safety pins, and tartan that added color to the red carpet.

Why not flaunt your pregnancy belly if it is so lovely? Her attire was emphasized by the vivid red ruffles and lace worn by the singer Jessie J.

With matching gloves, Kamille, dressed in green silk, highlighted her baby bump.

MNEK wore pink makeup, sparkly eye makeup, and a clutch bag.

Flo, the rising star winner, wore figure-hugging burgundy dresses with different designs.

As he walked the red carpet, the musician Lewis Capaldi clutched a gigantic, fictitious Brit Award.

Fans of S Club 7 would have been thrilled to see Jo O’Meara. Rachel Stevens, and Tina Barrett in classic floor-length gowns lined up together.

Keisha Buchanan, Mutya Buena, and Siobhan Donaghy of the Sugababes joined forces; Keisha and Siobhan wore elegant suits. While Mutya wore black garments that displayed her body art.

RuPaul’s Drag Race judge and red carpet host Michelle Visage shone in a Union flag-inspired outfit.

Clara Amfo, co-hosting live from the red carpet for ITV2 while wearing extremely high heels and an elegant black gown with a lengthy train, appeared ferocious.

Maya Jama, who is also a red-carpet host, donned a black dress with gold jewelry and a touch of glitter on the front that coordinated with her earrings and shoes.
