Nicole Kidman, who received the Life Achievement Award from the American Film Institute (AFI), stated, “It is an honour to create films.”

Kidman, who is 56 years old, is the inaugural Australian actor to receive the organization’s highest honor.

Meryl Streep bestowed the esteemed award upon the Moulin Rouge actress in Hollywood.

In addition to her spouse, the performer Keith Urban, co-star of Big Little Lies Reese Witherspoon was also in attendance.

In a floor-length, iridescent gold Balenciaga gown, Kidman accepted the award and expressed gratitude to every director with whom she has collaborated.

Cinema production is a prestigious honor. “It was an honour to have collaborated with these storytellers on films and television, who gave me the freedom to act as all of these unconventional women,” she remarked.

Thank you for improving my skills and providing me with a temporary position in this world.

During the ceremony, Kidman shed tears as her spouse remarked that she exemplified “true love in action” when his substance abuse issues surfaced shortly after their 2006 wedding.

“I’m in rehabilitation for three months, four months into our marriage,” Urban said about Kidman and their two adolescent daughters, who were present with her for the first time on the red carpet.
