After being accused in 2020, the rapper Tory Lanez pled not guilty to firing a firearm with gross negligence, assault with a semiautomatic pistol, and carrying a loaded, unlicensed firearm in a vehicle. Megan Thee Stallion claims she was injured in the incident in question.

Megan Thee Stallion told a jury that fellow rapper Tory Lanez instructed her to “dance” before firing five shots at her feet following a party at Kylie Jenner’s home in the Hollywood Hills.

During the second day of an assault trial in Los Angeles, the hip-hop diva testified that she was injured in the incident.

“I am shocked. I’m afraid, “The 27-year-old told jurors, as reported by the Los Angeles Times, that he was not guilty. “I can’t believe he’s shooting at me when I hear the rifle discharge.”

Megan Thee Stallion, whose real name is Megan Pete, said she saw blood on her feet after the alleged incident, which occurred following a party at The Kardashians star Jenner’s home in July 2020.

She reportedly informed the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Centre that Lanez, whose true name is Daystar Peterson, gave her $1 million (about £808,000) to keep silent after she was shot.

The 30-year-old Canadian rapper Lanez pled not guilty to negligently firing a firearm, assault with a semiautomatic pistol, and carrying a loaded, unlicensed firearm in a vehicle.

Megan donned a purple outfit to court to provide testimony.

“I simply don’t feel good,” she stated at the outset of deputy district attorney Kathy Ta’s interrogation. “I can’t believe I have to perform this task.”

She told the court that she departed Jenner’s party in a vehicle with Lanez, his bodyguard, and a friend, relating her memories of the night.

According to testimony presented to the jury, she and Lanez had become close and had occasional sexual interaction.

The court was informed that Megan’s “crush” on Lanez-obsessed buddy attempted to stir up trouble in the car.

According to the rapper, the disagreement escalated and she and Lanez began disparaging each other’s music and professions.

She stated, “I believe that rubbed him the wrong way.” He continued to rant and curse.

Megan stated that she was wearing a bikini, but then exited the vehicle and attempted to flee.

According to the claims, this is when Lanez leaned out and opened fire, wounding the back of her foot.

She testified that he exclaimed “Dance, b*tch!” at one point. She said, “I looked down at my feet and saw all the blood.”

“Everyone is now yelling. He appeared stunned.”

During the trial’s opening comments, Lanez’s attorney George Mgdesyan stated that Megan’s wounds proved she could not have had a clear view of whoever fired the gun, and that he would introduce additional evidence contradicting her story.

Lanez could face more than 22 years in jail if he is found guilty of all charges. Additionally, he might be deported to his native Canada.

Lanez’s career began in 2009, and since then he has released a string of successful mixtapes and major-label albums, with his past two albums reaching the top 10 of the US Billboard 200.

Megan Thee Stallion was a rising talent at the alleged time of the incident. Jenner won the Grammy for best new artist in 2021 and had number-one hits on the Billboard Hot 100 with her song Savage with Beyonce and as a guest on Cardi B’s WAP, whose music video included Jenner.
