Ex-One Direction member Harry Styles tells his fans that he is “devastated for the victims, their families, and everyone suffering” after a fatal shooting at a Copenhagen shopping center close to where he was scheduled to perform on Sunday.

Harry Styles is “devastated” and “heartbroken” following a shooting at a shopping center in Copenhagen that left three people dead and four critically injured.

Harry Styles was 'devastated' and 'heartbroken' after a deadly shooting at a Copenhagen shopping center prompted him to cancel a nearby concert.

As part of his Love On Tour, the former One Direction member was scheduled to perform at the Royal Arena in the south of the Danish capital on Sunday evening.

Soren Thomassen, the chief inspector of Copenhagen, stated that he canceled the performance after a lone gunman opened fire less than a mile away from the venue, seemingly at random and acting alone.

When the cancellation was announced, large crowds had already gathered inside the arena, and fans had to be asked to leave.

His message to his fans

Styles tweeted the following message to his 37.9 million followers: “I share the grief of the citizens of Copenhagen. I adore this city. The people are so loving and friendly.

“I am heartbroken for the victims, their families, and all those in pain.

“I regret that we could not be together. Please look out for one another.”

The 28-year-old singer appended “H” to his tweet.

Live Nation, the tour’s promoter, issued the following statement: “The Danish Police have ordered the cancellation of tonight’s concert featuring Harry Styles.

Today’s events have devastated us all, and our thoughts are with the victims and their families.

“We are investigating future possibilities for the show and hope to have direct information for ticket buyers as soon as possible.”

According to Danish police, three people were killed and four are in critical condition following the attack at the Field’s shopping center.

A 22-year-old man of “Danish ethnicity” was apprehended close to the crime scene.

Officers have stated that his motivations are unclear and that there is no evidence of terrorism. According to reports, he had a history of mental health issues.

On Monday, the suspect will be arraigned on preliminary murder charges.

Following the incident, a reception with Danish Crown Prince Frederik that was to be held on the royal yacht moored in Sonderborg, southern Denmark, has also been canceled.

In the coming weeks, Pearl Jam and Queen + Adam Lambert are scheduled to perform at the arena in Copenhagen.

Is Love On Tour afflicted?

Styles’ shows have encountered numerous obstacles. Before the pandemic halted the live music industry in 2020, he was scheduled to take his Love On Tour show around the world 2020.

His rescheduled tour began in Las Vegas in September 2021 and continued across the United States until June 2022, when it began in Glasgow, Scotland.

Nonetheless, on the first day of the European leg of the tour, a concertgoer fell from the top tier at Glasgow’s Ibrox Stadium and landed on other concertgoers. There were no serious injuries.

Tuesday in Paris will host his next performance.

His most recent album, Harry’s House, was well received by critics, and the lead single, “As It Was,” has just spent its tenth week at the top of the UK singles chart.

Styles is currently in a relationship with actress and director Olivia Wilde and stars in her latest film, the psychological thriller Don’t Worry Darling.
