The Rocketman star spent the night in the hospital but was released on Monday, with his representative stating that he was “in good health.
Sir Elton John was transported to the hospital after falling at his home in France.
The 76-year-old celebrity was hospitalized overnight and released on Monday.
“We can confirm that Elton visited the local hospital as a precaution after slipping yesterday at his home in the south of France,” his representative said in a statement.
Following examinations, he was discharged from the hospital this morning and is now at home and in excellent health.
Sir Elton, his spouse David Furnish, and their two children have been in France since the conclusion of his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour in July.
On August 22, he was spotted savoring a day aboard his luxurious superyacht with a group of A-list friends in St. Tropez, south of France.
Kevin Spacey’s acquittal on four sexual assault charges led to Sir Elton and Spacey enjoying dinner in Nice.
The British singer-songwriter may release more music, but he’s stopped touring to spend time with his family.
“Touring is exhausting for me now, and it takes me away from my family and children,” he said. Referring to Furnish and their two sons, Zachary, 12, and Elijah, 10.
Sir Elton promised fans “there may be the odd show” before retiring from live engagements.
