A representative for Streep stated: “Don Gummer and Meryl Streep have been separated for more than six years, and while they will always care for each other, they have chosen to live apart.”
Family and Career
Their four children, Henry, 43, a musician, Mamie, 40, Grace, 37, and Louisa, 32, have all pursued acting like their mother.

Additionally, they have five grandchildren; daughter Grace and Grammy-winning British musician Mark Ronson just welcomed a daughter together.
Gummer, 76, and Meryl Streep, 74, last shared an appearance at the 2018 Academy Awards. Streep was photographed wearing her wedding ring on Friday at the Princesa de Asturias Awards 2023.
The Oscar winner met the couple while mourning her Deer Hunter co-star and boyfriend, John Cazale, who died of lung cancer.
Streep honoured her spouse in her 2012 acceptance speech following her victory for Best Actress at the Academy Awards for her performance in The Iron Lady.
“First, I’m going to thank Don because when you thank your husband at the end of the speech, they play him out with music,” according to her.
“I want him to know that everything I value most in our lives you’ve given me.”
