The London Police have stated that no further action will be taken against GB News host Dan Wootton.
On Wednesday, the broadcaster of New Zealand descent issued a statement confirming that he had received “full clearance.”
Allegations examined by the Metropolitan Police regarding his alleged use of fictitious online personas and solicitation of monetary compensation in exchange for explicit material featuring others.
He informed audiences in July of last year that he had committed “misjudgments” but vehemently denied any wrongdoing.
Wootton is presently suspended for a separate reason, although GB News has not declined to comment.
Wootton, in a statement released by his attorney, characterised the allegations as “wholly baseless fabrications aimed at tarnishing my professional trajectory, with the complainants motivated by malevolence.”
“Although I was aware that this would inevitably occur, the process itself has become the sanction, with social media serving as the executioner,” he continued.
“In the event that guilt is established through accusation or trial by the media, freedom ceases to exist,” said Margaret Thatcher.
“She was accurate. It is time to reinstate all of our long-standing rights, the most important of which is the presumption of innocence until proven guilty in a court of law.

Metropolitan Police Spokesman’s Statement
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police stated that the police were contacted in June 2023 regarding allegations. These allegations were about a man in his forties who had committed sexual offences.
“Officers evaluated all available information in an effort to determine whether a criminal offence had occurred.”
“An inquiry was initiated into the aforementioned allegations.” All involved parties have been notified that there will be no additional actions taken. No indictments were made in the course of the investigation.
Wootton, a former tabloid journalist whose work was featured in the News of the World and the Sun, was a former entertainment correspondent for ITV’s Lorraine prior to joining GB News.

He won three British Press Awards for entertainment reporter of the year. He was also the first to report on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s withdrawal from royal duties.
Following his January 2021 resignation as executive editor of The Sun, he began contributing regularly to MailOnline as a columnist before launching an hour-long evening programme on GB News.
He was removed from his position as a network host. The argument arose after actor-turned-politician Laurence Fox made comments against a female journalist on his show.
Simultaneously, Wootton’s agreement to work as a columnist for the Daily Mail was terminated.
