The injured individuals have been transported to Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital.

According to Lieutenant General Elias Mawela, police commissioner for the province of Gauteng, the number of cartridges seized at the scene shows that a group opened fire in the pub.

He stated that the attack’s motivation is now unknown.

“It is evident that a handgun with a large caliber was used and that it fired indiscriminately. “It is evident that every one of these individuals struggled to exit the tavern,” Lieutenant General Mawela stated.

He stated that the area where the incident occurred was very dark, making it more difficult to find witnesses who could identify the suspects.

The attack was carried out with rifles and a 9mm pistol, according to the national police spokesperson Colonel Dimakatso Sello.

In a separate incident, four individuals were shot and killed by unidentified gunmen in a bar in the Sweetwaters area of the coastal city of Pietermaritzburg on Saturday night.

According to the police, two males entered the bar and opened fire randomly on the patrons, killing two persons at the scene and confirming the deaths of two others at the hospital.

According to police, eight more individuals are undergoing medical care in a hospital. The victims were between 30 and 45 years old, and the police are investigating a murder and attempted murder charges.

General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, the police commissioner of Kwazulu-Natal, stated, “The team will be working around the clock to identify and apprehend individuals guilty for this shooting.”

The bar shootings occurred two weeks after 21 youngsters were discovered dead in an East London bar.
The official cause of death has not yet been disclosed, but according to authorities, the adolescents were neither shot nor crushed in a stampede.
