A photographer who claims to have been “punched in the chops” has prompted a police investigation.

An Australian photographer alleges that Taylor Swift’s father struck him in Sydney following the singer’s concert.

Ben McDonald reported to the police that the incident occurred at Neutral Bay Wharf, shortly after Swift and her father disembarked from their yacht, several hours after the singer’s final performance in the city.

Police are investigating an alleged assault that took place at 2:30 am local time on a 51-year-old man by a 71-year-old (names withheld).

According to a spokesperson for Rolling Stone magazine, two individuals were “aggressively pushing” to get to Swift. Swift’s representatives have not yet responded to a request for comment.

They added that members of the public grabbed security and intimidated an employee of the singer.

Mr. McDonald said that the press had been waiting to photograph the celebrity as she approached two vehicles.

“Four or five security personnel were present, and one of the American security personnel shoved his umbrella into me and my camera before Taylor entered her vehicle,” he said.

“Another individual charged at me and struck me on the left side of the face with a strike.

“At first, I thought it was an Australian security person trying to impress the Americans; however, it was her father trying to steal the show.”

Mr. McDonald identified Scott Swift, Swift’s father, from an online photograph, adding that he has no bruising and does not require treatment.

He denied being hit or assaulted in 23 years, notably by the talent’s father.

“We did not rush down the jetty. We did not hurry to the back of the boat. And we waited patiently for her to come over. It was kept very civil.

“Yet, they proceeded to position umbrellas over her, then thrust the umbrellas into our faces while pretending that we were the ones initiating contact.”

Swift left the country on Tuesday following seven Eras Tour gigs with over 600,000 fans.
