“We have thoroughly reviewed all the evidence about the recent incident at Anfield involving Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson and match official Constantine Hatzidakis, and we will not be taking any further action,” a spokesperson said.

“As part of our thorough investigation, we reviewed detailed statements from Liverpool and PGMOL as well as multiple angles of video footage about the incident and its surrounding circumstances.”

In a statement issued by the PGMOL, Mr. Hatzidakis stated, “I fully assisted The FA with their investigation and discussed the matter directly with Andy Robertson during an open and constructive conversation.”

“I apologise for touching Andy when I withdrew my arm. I eagerly anticipate returning to refereeing contests.”

Shortly after the halftime siren, the official was observed reacting to Robertson’s confrontation.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp claimed he was unaware of the incident.

Manchester United and England fullback Gary Neville said, “I’ve never witnessed an official raise an elbow to a player.” I believe he will be in a great deal of trouble after this event.”
