Two days after her detention, Farideh Moradkhani, a well-known rights activist, made the remarks in an online video.

The niece of Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has urged foreign nations to sever all connections with Tehran’s “murderous and child-killing regime.”

Two days after her detention in Iran, well-known rights campaigner Farideh Moradkhani made the remarks in a video that was broadcast online.

Iran’s authorities have ruthlessly suppressed nationwide protests over the murder of Mahsa Amini, a 22-year-old Kurdish Iranian woman, in police detention following her arrest for violating strict hijab regulations.

Iran's supreme leader's niece urges states to sever ties with the country.

Mahmoud Moradkhani, who is based in France, uploaded the footage of Ms. Moradkhani on Friday.

According to him, she was apprehended after being summoned to a prosecutor’s office.

In the video, she says, “Oh free people, join us and demand your governments to stop backing this evil regime that kills children.

This regime is not faithful to any of its theological tenets and has no rules other than force and retaining control.

She continues, “Now is the moment for all free and democratic nations to recall their officials from Iran as a symbolic gesture and deport the representatives of this barbaric government from their nations.”

According to activist news source HRANA, more than 450 protestors had been slain in two months of widespread turmoil following the killing of Ms. Amini.

At least 58 children, some as young as eight years old, have reportedly been killed.

According to HRANA, sixty members of the security forces had been slain and 18,173 demonstrators had been imprisoned.

The United Nations approved a new mission to investigate Iran’s crackdown on anti-government rallies last week.
