- Houthi rebels seize cargo ship.
- Armed individuals descend from helicopter.
- Vessel claimed ties to Israel.
On Monday, the movement’s television channel Al Masirah broadcast the footage.
A video has been published by the Houthi rebels of Yemen, depicting armed men seizing a cargo ship in the southern Red Sea.
At least seven masked individuals, armed with what appears to be AK-47s, are captured on video by Yemeni Military Media descending from a helicopter and alighting on the upper deck of the vessel.
The video apparently shows the rebels ascending the vessel and hoisting the flags of both Palestine and Yemen, effectively seizing control of the vessel.

On Monday, the movement’s television channel Al Masirah broadcast the footage.
The vessel was commandeered on Sunday by a group sponsored by Iran, claiming to have ties to Israel.
