The couple ended their “journey together,” according to Sam Asghari, after 14 months.
Mr. Asghari, 29, and Ms. Spears, 41, cited “irreconcilable differences” in their divorce petition filed on Wednesday.
The couple became engaged in September 2021 and were married in June 2022 in a modest, star-studded ceremony.
This year, US tabloids reported on rumors of their marital difficulties.

Mr. Asghari’s petition for dissolution of marriage filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court requests that Ms. Spears pay spousal support and attorney fees.
