On Tuesday, a Palestinian died from gunshot wounds sustained during an earlier Israeli raid, the Palestinian health ministry reported, adding that another Palestinian was slain elsewhere in the occupied West Bank.

Amjad Aref Jaas “died from critical abdominal wounds sustained from live (Israeli) occupation fire” in the northern West Bank city of Jenin, according to a ministry statement.

The death of the 48-year-old brings the total number of Palestinians slain in Monday’s raid by Israeli troops to six. According to health officials, more than ninety Palestinians were injured during the raid.

According to the military, eight Israeli security personnel were wounded in Jenin.

The Palestinian health ministry also stated that Israeli troops killed a 20-year-old in Bethlehem after the firefight.

In the town of Husan, Zakaria Mohammed al-Zaoul was “killed by live (Israeli) occupation bullets to the head,” the ministry announced late Monday.

“A suspect hurled Molotov cocktails” at Israeli military forces “on routine activity” south of Jerusalem, according to the IDF.

“In response, the soldiers opened live fire. “A match was identified,” it continued.

In a statement, Islamic Jihad militants claimed Zaoul as a member.

During the assaults, according to the official Palestinian news agency Wafa, the military employed live ammunition, tear gas, and stun grenades.

At least 166 Palestinians, 21 Israelis, a Ukrainian, and an Italian have been slain in Israeli-Palestinian conflict-related violence this year.

The official total includes combatants, civilians, and three Israeli Arabs.
