Donald Trump expects Mr. Biden to stay in the race for the White House because “he’s got an ego, and he doesn’t want to quit”.
Joe Biden has displayed no signs of Parkinson’s disease, according to his doctor, who clarified in a letter issued after allegations that a specialist had visited the president numerous times in the previous year.
Concerns about the president’s health have grown following Mr Biden’s poor performance in his debate with Donald Trump.
Democrats referred to his performance as “an unmitigated disaster,” “a meltdown,” and “a slow-motion car crash.”
According to the New York Times, White House visitor logs show that Dr. Kevin Cannard, a neurologist who specializes in movement disorders and just published a paper on Parkinson’s, visited the White House eight times between last summer and this spring.
However, Mr. Biden’s doctor, Kevin O’Connor, issued a letter insisting that “President Biden has not seen a neurologist outside of his annual physical”.
In my February 28 letter, I stated that this year’s neurological exam revealed no evidence of cerebellar or central neurological disorders, including stroke, multiple sclerosis, or Parkinson’s disease.
The letter also stated that Dr. Cannard, as the White House’s Neurology Consultant, would have treated a variety of persons at the famed building.
Dr. O’Connor said that he has hosted regular Neurology Clinics in the White House Medical Clinic to help the thousands of active-duty members deployed to support White House activities.
Earlier, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre asserted that the president had seen a neurologist three times for his annual medical tests.

Meanwhile, in an interview with CNN on Monday, US Representative Adam Smith, the top Democrat on the House Armed Services Committee, urged Mr Biden to withdraw from the presidential race.
It comes as some of Mr Biden’s closest political supporters, including former Speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi, expressed concerns about his health.
And, in a letter to Democrats in Congress on Monday, the US president stated that he was “firmly committed” to his re-election campaign and promised to continue in the race against Trump.
Also on Monday, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump stated that he anticipated President Biden to remain in the fight for the White House.
He told Sean Hannity in a phone call televised on Fox News: “He’s got an ego, and he doesn’t want to quit.” He does not want to do it. It appears that’s what he wants.”
