During a search of his Mar-a-Lago residence, Donald Trump claims the FBI confiscated his passports.

FBI officials found “top secret” documents from the former president’s house last week, including some containing information that, if made public, might cause “exceptionally grave” harm to US interests.

The former US president said that three of his passports were “stolen” by agents, describing the incident as an “attack on a political opponent.”

The FBI searched his home last week after discovering that crates holding secret information were moved to his estate after he left office.

The National Archives and Materials Administration (NARA) collected them in January and subsequently requested that the Justice Department examine whether Mr. Trump’s management of White House records violated federal law.

In a message on his own social media platform, Truth Social, Mr. Trump told his fans, “Wow. In the raid of Mar-a-Lago by the FBI, they confiscated my three passports, one of which was expired, along with everything else.

“This assault on a political opponent is unprecedented in the history of our nation. The third world

A Department of Justice official informed NBC News that Mr. Trump’s passports had been returned to the former president and were not in the possession of the FBI.

The majority of Mr. Trump’s supporters have been galvanized by the search, rallying with him and criticizing the move as political because it is occurring at a time when many anticipate he will declare plans to run for reelection.

“The temperature must be decreased”

Mr. Trump warned Fox News Digital that “bad things will occur” if frustrations are not alleviated.

“The nation is in a precarious position. Mr. Trump stated, “I’ve never seen such outrage over all of the scams and this new one – years of scams and witch hunts, and now this.”

“People are very angry about what is happening,” he continued. Whatever we can do to assist because the country’s temperature must be reduced.

He continued by stating that the FBI “could have placed anything they desired” during the search.

“There has never been a period like this in which police enforcement has been employed to break into the home of a former president of the United States, and there is huge outrage in the country – on a scale that has never been seen before, save in extremely dangerous circumstances,” he said.

The important affidavit could be opened.

During the raid, officers recovered more than 20 containers containing goods, some of which were marked as top secret.

A search warrant revealed that investigators collected a batch of documents tagged not only as top secret but also as “sensitive compartmented material,” a category designed to safeguard the nation’s most sensitive secrets.

Also taken were a photo album, a handwritten note, and information concerning the “President of France.”

The order also indicated that Mr. Trump is the subject of an Espionage Act investigation.

US media outlets have requested that the Department of Justice declassify the document used by prosecutors to seek permission to search Mr. Trump’s Florida estate.

The agency stated on Monday that it opposes the requests because the probe “implies highly secret material” and the document contains sensitive witness information.

The document would have revealed the evidence presented by prosecutors to demonstrate that they had reasonable cause to suspect criminal activity.
