The singer-songwriter asserts that a 39-year-old guy has been following her “outside my family’s residence” and has made “threats of violence” against her.
Billie Eilish has filed a request for a restraining order against a man who allegedly broke into her home and declared his love for her.
The 21-year-old global superstar expressed “severe anxiety, fear, and emotional anguish” for her and her family’s safety. Citing the alleged break-in and five previous occurrences she claims involved the same man.
Eilish asserts in court filings that Christopher Anderson also sent her “threats of violence.”
The lawsuit docs allege that the 39-year-old showed up “unannounced and uninvited” many times. Between late December and early January at Eilish’s childhood home.
Eilish stated that Anderson had most recently entered the property on January 5. “Supposedly declaring his love for me and expressing a strong desire to meet me.”
The singer stated in the filings, “I have viewed photographs of this man, and can certify I have no idea who he is and have never had any prior contact or relationship with him.”
She continued, “I fear that one of these people will one day do something terrible. Or incredibly unsettling to me or a member of my family.”
The restraining order seeks protection for her mother, father, and brother, producer Finneas O’Connell.
Tuesday, Eilish’s request was filed with the Los Angeles Superior Court.
