  • Aniston criticizes JD Vance’s childless comment
  • Vance voted against IVF access legislation
  • Vance targeted Harris, Buttigieg, AOC in remarks

Jennifer Aniston has slammed Donald Trump’s vice-presidential nominee, JD Vance, for resurfacing comments calling Democrats a “bunch of childless cat ladies with miserable lives.”

The Friends actress, 55, tweeted a 2021 interview with Mr Vance, extensively circulated since his nomination as Mr Trump’s running mate in the November presidential election.

I can’t believe this comes from a prospective United States Vice President, she commented on Instagram.

Mr. Vance, I hope your daughter can have her children someday.

Mr. Vance has a two-year-old daughter and two sons.

Ms Aniston replied, “I hope she does not need to turn to IVF as a second option.”

“Because you are trying to take that away from her, too.”

“The country is miserable.”

The actress has previously spoken frankly about her difficulties in trying to conceive children using in-vitro fertilization (IVF).

Mr Vance voted last month to defeat Democrat-sponsored legislation that would guarantee countrywide access to IVF.

In the video, Mr Vance attacked Vice President Kamala Harris for not having biological children.

Ms Harris is the stepmother of her husband Doug Emhoff’s two children.

However, Mr. Vance told former Fox News personality Tucker Carlson that the United States is led by a group of childless cat ladies who are unhappy with their own lives and their decisions and want to make the rest of the country disappointed.

He cited Kamala Harris, Pete Buttigieg, and AOC [Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez] as examples of adults without children who control the Democratic Party’s future.

How does it make sense that we have handed our country to those without a direct stake?

‘A heartbreaking setback’

Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg also addressed the comments earlier this week, discussing his plans to adopt twins with his husband, Chasten.

The terrible part is that he said this after Chasten and I had experienced a heartbreaking setback in our adoption quest, according to CNN’s The Source program.

He couldn’t have known – which may be why you shouldn’t talk about other people’s children.

There has also been outrage from fans of singer-songwriter Taylor Swift, who has three cats and no children.

British writer Caitlin Moran said on X that it’s audacious for someone seeking votes to focus on ‘childless cat ladies’ when the leader of Childless Cat Ladies is Taylor Swift.

“Invest in your future with Webull UK – get started with free shares.”

Another X user, external, shared the Time magazine cover featuring Swift and one of her cats, stating, “Hell hath no fury like a certain childless cat lady who has yet to endorse a presidential candidate.”

No regrets.

In 2022, Aniston told Allure that she wished someone had advised her to store her eggs.

The journey to motherhood was difficult for me, she admitted.

“All the years and years of speculation… it was pretty tricky.

I was doing IVF, consuming Chinese teas, you name it.

However, she had “zero regrets.”

I would have given anything if someone had told me, “Freeze your eggs.” Do yourself a favor. You just aren’t thinking about it. So here I am today, she informed the magazine.

The ship has sailed.
