A “technical glitch” has hindered the ability of some to purchase tickets for next year’s Glastonbury Festival.
Saturday at 9:00 GMT, the second batch of tickets went on sale, but many fans noted that the website constantly crashed during the buying process.
Tickets sold out in barely an hour, and organizer Emily Eavis apologized to those who were unable to attend.
She stated that resale tickets would be available in 2023.
Fans stated on Twitter that the website initially took a long time to load and that they were kicked off the booking site at several points, including the final payment step.
Emily Eavis, the organizer of Glastonbury, commented on Twitter: “Although we are ecstatic that so many of you want to attend next year’s Glastonbury, we regret that so many of you were unable to purchase a ticket this morning, as demand considerably exceeded supply.
“Thank you to anyone who attempted to purchase a ticket. Your dedication to this event is much appreciated.
“There will be a resale of tickets in the spring of 2023, so if you missed out, please try again then.”
The lineup for next year has not yet been announced, although Roxy Music is rumored to be filling the Sunday teatime legends slot.
The event will occur from June 21 through June 25.
