Scottish Water said that water service has been restored to about 100,000 properties in East Dunbartonshire and portions of Glasgow affected by the pipe break on Tuesday afternoon. Fans of Lewis Capaldi at the OVO Hydro were among those affected by the disturbance.
In Scotland, around 250,000 customers were left without water after a large pipe rupture.
Tuesday afternoon, a pipe ruptured in Milngavie, East Dunbartonshire, resulting in floods.
The explosion of a 36-inch main ruptured Auchenhowie Road and children from the Lullaby Lane nursery were forced to seek refuge in the neighboring Rangers Training Centre.
Scottish Water has cautioned that there may be persistent interruptions and discoloration of the water supply notwithstanding the completion of restoration operations.
East Dunbartonshire and a portion of Glasgow were impacted by the outage, according to the utility provider.
Customers in Glasgow’s city center, Knightswood, Yoker, Scotstoun, Partick, Kelvinside, Tradeston, and Ibrox also experienced interruptions in service.

Due to a water shortage, OVO Hydro was obliged to close some restrooms, resulting in lengthy lines for fans attending Lewis Capaldi’s concert.
Hydro executives stated that the situation was beyond their control. But that the “safety and comfort” of their consumers took first.

In a Wednesday morning update, Scottish Water stated. “We are aware that certain customers in and around the city center of Glasgow have reported no water this morning.
This is currently under review, and we will be in direct contact with customers that called us this morning.
Those who are experiencing discolored water have been informed by the company that the natural sediment within the mains has been disturbed and that running the cold-water kitchen faucet should clean it.
Scottish Water said that white water, created by air in the water, will settle during the next two days.
Glasgow Road and a portion of Auchenhowie Road continue to be closed, with detours in place.
Scottish Water added the following: “Together with our utility partners, we are assessing the impact and extent of the damage. Also preparing the damaged water main for excavation and repair.
We apologize to all affected customers for the inconvenience and service disruption.
