A man who witnessed the couple alighting from their car in Crystal Palace remarked, “Everyone noticed, and chaos ensued.”
Imagine walking down your local high street minding your own business and spotting an international recording artist and her superstar rapper partner through a store window.
During what is believed to be their first public appearance since the birth of their child in May, the power couple was mobbed by fans, with videos showing Rihanna filming fan reactions from inside while her partner received a haircut.
Other clips depict the Umbrella singer observing her partner getting a haircut.
One of those standing in front of the shop in Crystal Palace stated that the couple had been driving up Anerley Hill before stopping in front of the store where music was being played.
He told the Press Association, “Everyone saw A$AP come out first, and then he went back to the car to bring out Rihanna about 30 seconds later.”
Then everyone noticed, and chaos ensued.
Rihanna and A$AP Rocky (real name Rakim Mayers) were in town for the latter’s performance at the Wireless Festival, where he headlined on Friday evening, marking his first performance in the United Kingdom in six years.
A$AP took the stage at the London festival shortly after Chris Brown, who had reportedly been banned from the UK for approximately a decade due to an alleged assault on his then-girlfriend Rihanna, had performed.
Since the birth of their child in May, which was never formally announced, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have maintained a relatively low profile.
