Coastguard and police personnel were present at the site. Individuals walking dogs were redirected around the cordoned-off area using tape.
Police cordoned off a Portsmouth shoreline following the discovery of a body on the shore.
Following the discovery, officers were dispatched to the Eastern Parade seafront in Southsea at 6:39 a.m. today.

Coastguard and police personnel responded to the scene. Dog walkers were redirected through the restricted area by means of tape that delineated it.
A Hampshire Police spokeswoman stated: “At 6:39 a.m. on Tuesday, October 31st, we received a communication regarding the discovery of a body on the beach along Eastern Parade in Portsmouth.
Officers have attended the scene and remain there at the current time.”
