Crewless boat found adrift off North Wales prompts hunt

The police are requesting the boat’s proprietors or anyone with information to contact them.

The discovery of an unmanned boat in North Wales has prompted a search operation.

At 6 a.m. on Saturday, officials in Colwyn Bay were notified of a 20-foot cruiser adrift in the water.

At 7:20 a.m., a lifeboat arrived at the scene and personnel searched the water for victims, but none were found.

Later, HM Coastguard stated that it was “reasonably confident” that the four men who were aboard the vessel escaped unharmed.

Detective Sergeant Mark Bamber stated, “We believe the boat entered the water in Conwy yesterday after entering the area yesterday.” The name of the vessel is Phoenix Hardy.
