In Northamptonshire, Saju Chelavalel, 52, has been charged with the deaths of Anju Asok, 35, Jeeva Saju, six, and Janvi Saju, four.
Police have accused a 52-year-old man of the killings of a mother and her two small children in Kettering, Northamptonshire.
Anju Asok, 35, Jeeva Saju, six, and Janvi Saju, four, were severely injured when officers were dispatched to Saju Chelavalel’s Petherton Court residence on Thursday. Anju Asok, 35, Jeeva Saju, six, and Janvi Saju, four, were also severely injured.
Despite the efforts of the paramedics, Ms. Asok died on the spot, and her two children died later in the hospital.
According to postmortem tests, all three victims died from asphyxiation.
Monday, Mr. Chelavalel will appear before the Northampton Magistrates’ Court.
Ms. Asok was a staff nurse at Kettering General Hospital, and the hospital’s chief executive Deborah Needham hailed her as “a dedicated and compassionate staff nurse who was adored and revered by her loving friends and coworkers.”
She added, “All of our thoughts are with her friends and family as they cope with this untimely loss.”
Simon Barnes, Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Inspector, stated: “The families of Anju, Jeeva, and Janvi, for whom we are dedicated to pursuing justice, remain in our thoughts.
“Incidents of this sort are extremely disturbing, and I would like to thank everyone who responded to the 999 call on Thursday or has been involved in the investigation for their professionalism and courtesy.
“I would also want to thank the surrounding community, as we are aware of how distressing an occurrence of this sort can be. Members of our Neighbourhood Policing Team will continue to patrol the area, and I encourage anyone with concerns to communicate with them.
