Five months after it went lost during a five-star vacation to Turkey, a woman was shocked to discover her missing bag on her doorstep.

Sian Armour, 42, from Fife, was abandoned without her possessions during a July family vacation to the Liberty Fabay resort in Dalaman.

She told that she had given up hope of ever seeing her bag again until earlier this week when it finally arrived.

A spokesperson for Jet2.com confirmed that Sian had been reunited with her luggage.

The scientist from Ladybank stated that the luxurious vacation was her first significant travel in three years, but the loss of her suitcase ruined it.

She claimed, “When we realized my suitcase was stolen, the representative put me in a taxi and warned me not to spend more than £100 at a very inexpensive market.”

There were no shoes in my size, so I was forced to wear flip-flops and jelly shoes two sizes too small.

I ended up purchasing children’s clothing to locate items that fit.

“It was extremely humiliating to attend dinner at a five-star resort every night while wearing a vest and flip-flops, while all the other women wore dresses and heels.”

Since then, the vacation company has agreed to compensate Sian £1,436 for all the replacement items she had to purchase, but she feels that the disappointment and stress she experienced throughout her trip have not been addressed.

She remembers purchasing a bikini, only to have it break after three days at the pool due to poor quality.

She did not have any makeup, perfume, or jewelry to wear to evening meals.

She added, “I asked the representative every day if my bag had arrived, but I got the impression he wasn’t doing anything about it.”

As the days progressed, she required more clothing than the original emergency outfits that were intended to suffice until her suitcase arrived.

When I should have been lounging by the beach, I spent three days shopping in shops and markets for clothes, sunblock, and other necessities.

I tried not to show my spouse and children that I was devastated by the circumstances.

Mark, her 42-year-old husband, and Courtney, their 10-year-old daughter, each had their luggage, but Sian’s suitcase contained the family’s shared essentials, such as sun cream.

On one occasion, they went on a day trip up a canyon to a waterfall, which they had arranged in the United Kingdom.

She stated, “They instructed us to bring water shoes on the trip, so I purchased a pair in the United Kingdom. They were in my carry-on. We were warned not to wear flip-flops, so I purchased jelly shoes there, but they only carried a size six and I wear a size eight.

They were quite uncomfortable, and the soles were so thin that I could feel every stone I stepped over.

When they got home, she spent weeks calling Jet2 and even tweeted the CEO to locate her lost bags.

“I had given up on my suitcase, so I was astounded when it landed on my doorstep on Monday,” Sian remarked.

Jet2.com informed her that the suitcase had been found at Edinburgh Airport and that they had no idea how it got there, despite tags indicating that it had traveled to Munich through Frankfurt.

A spokesperson for Jet2.com stated, “Our personnel does everything possible to assist consumers, and we have continued to support Ms. Armour.” We can confirm that Ms. Armour and her luggage have been reunited.”

The travel agency claimed to have issued a compensation check, which is believed to be in the mail.

Sian stated, “I hope it turns up because I’ve spent a lot of money repurchasing all the clothing and electronics I purchased for my vacation.”

She stated that in the future she will pack valuables in her carry-on and combine her husband’s and daughter’s common belongings.
