For the attack in 2009, Stefan Sylvestre, from Shepherd’s Bush in west London, was given a life sentence.
The police are actively searching for the guy who flung acid on television host Katie Piper after he was remanded to prison for violating the terms of his release.
In 2009, Stefan Sylvestre of Shepherd’s Bush, west London, was sentenced to life in prison for the crime and told he must spend at least six years before being eligible for parole.
He was freed in 2018 at the age of 30, a time Ms. Piper described as “very challenging.”
A spokesperson for the Probation Service stated on Sunday, “We are urgently working with the police to return the offender to jail, where he will serve a longer sentence.”
Sylvestre was recalled to prison for violating the terms of his parole.
The acid attack on Ms. Piper resulted in horrifying injuries that left her forever scarred.
After her obsessive ex-boyfriend Daniel Lynch arranged for Sylvestre to pour the corrosive liquid at her in March 2008, she was left battling for her life.
Lynch was sentenced to life in prison with a minimum of sixteen years for sexually assaulting Piper and instructing Sylvestre to pour acid on her.
Lynch and Sylvestre were described by Judge Nicholas Browne QC as “the face of absolute wickedness” in court.
