Jeremy Clarkson has cautioned that some of his Hawkstone Cider bottles may ignite.
The former Top Gear host and artisanal beverage firm owner tweeted about a “massive screw-up.”
He penned, “If the cap has the code L3160, open it underwater, pour it away, and get in touch for a refund.”
Clarkson emphasized that Hawkstone Beer is “fine and still delicious” and that “almost all” bottles of cider are unaffected.
Hawkstone explained on Instagram that “a small amount” of cider had over-fermented.
“Take a photo of the caps, and we will send you a fresh batch or a refund,” the company added.
In 2021, Clarkson’s Diddly Squat farm in Chipping Norton supplied the beverage’s primary constituents.
His attempt to manage a farm has been transformed into an Amazon Prime television series.
Clarkson, who purchased the farm in 2008 and began managing it himself in 2019, received a frigid reception from some villagers when he proposed adding a farm shop and restaurant to the enterprise.
Clarkson also co-hosts The Grand Tour on Amazon Prime alongside his erstwhile co-stars from Top Gear, Richard Hammond and James May.
