Sunday’s fire at the Clifton house of Aboubacarr Drammeh’s wife Fatoumatta Hydara and their two young daughters, Fatimah, 3, and Naeemah, 1, resulted in their deaths in the hospital.

A father whose wife and two small children perished in a Nottingham apartment fire stated that it is “inconceivable” to consider who “committed this awful crime against my family.”

Sunday’s fire at the Clifton house of Aboubacarr Drammeh’s wife Fatoumatta Hydara and their two young daughters, Fatimah, 3, and Naeemah, 1, resulted in their deaths in the hospital.

Mr. Drammeh, 40, who flew back from America following the fire and offered a tribute, stated: “We are heartbroken to have lost Fatoumatta and our two daughters in such a horrific manner.

“Fatoumatta had lived a brief but extremely fulfilling and lovely life. Fatoumatta, a former volunteer, was a very cheerful, effervescent woman who had no desire to harm a fly.

“Therefore, it is unthinkable to consider who may have perpetrated this heinous atrocity on my family.

“We appreciate the continued support of the Ahmadi Muslim community in Nottinghamshire, the Gambian community, the local community, and all well-wishers during this sad period.

“My spouse and I do not have any daughters, grandchildren, or nieces. I will miss my family dearly.”

Sunday at 3:00 a.m., the sisters were confirmed dead at the hospital shortly after the fire broke out.

Tuesday morning, Nottinghamshire Police reported that their mother, age 28, who had been placed on a life support system, had passed away.

There are no words to convey the pain.

Detectives continue to question a 31-year-old guy from Clifton over a triple homicide investigation.

Detective Chief Inspector Mark Sinski, who is leading the investigation, stated, “There are no words to explain the anguish the victims’ families are through right now, and we’re doing everything we can to bring them the justice they deserve.”

He thanked those who had already come forward with information and urged anyone with surveillance footage from the nearby area or information that could aid police investigations to “get in touch.”

Every piece of evidence we collect will bring us closer to our objective, so please contact us if you have any information or were in or around Fairisle Close between midnight and 4:30 a.m. on Sunday,” he continued.

Anyone with information should submit it using the Public Portal (mipp.police.uk) or contact 101 and ask for Nottinghamshire Police, stating incident number 0110 20112022.
