Glastonbury Festival organizer Emily Eavis cited “very difficult times” as the reason for a price increase for next year’s event.

Festival-goers will be charged £335 plus a £5 booking fee and a £50 deposit for ordinary tickets.

The last time tickets went on sale in 2019 they cost £265 plus a booking fee for a festival that was originally scheduled for 2020 but eventually postponed.

Eavis stated that every effort had been made to keep prices down.

We’re facing massive increases in the cost of putting on this enormous spectacle, while still recuperating from the immense financial burden of two years without a festival due to Covid,” she said.

“The £50 deposit on the day of ticket sales in November will remain the same, with the remainder due in April.”

As always, there will be possibilities for tens of thousands of individuals to participate as volunteers or crew members.

The world-renowned music festival will return to Somerset’s Worthy Farm from 21 to 25 June 2023; tickets, which typically sell out in minutes, will go on sale on November 6.
