The Premier League club proclaims the closure of its stadium offices and club store “on police advice.”
The Elland Road stadium of Leeds United has been suspended “until further notice” due to a reported security threat.
“On the advice of the police, Leeds United’s offices, ticket office, Foundation offices, and club shop at Elland Road will be closed until further notice,” the Premier League club said in a tweet.
We apologize for any inconvenience and will notify the public when normal service is restored.
It is believed that a threat was made via social media. Consequently, all club offices and the ticket office have been closed while police conduct inspections.
“Police were called to the Elland Road football stadium following reports of a security threat,” a West Yorkshire Police spokeswoman told.
“Investigations are in progress to determine the veracity of this threat.
