She announced on a GoFundMe page created to bring his remains home that he was slain in Ukraine on August 24.

“Our brother courageously chose to serve as a medic in this war-torn country.
“In the line of duty, while assisting others, he perished. This selfless man is today stranded in a Ukrainian morgue with no way to return home.”
She estimated that it would cost approximately £4,000 to return his body to the United Kingdom.

“According to a provider of international funeral services, it will cost approximately £4,000 to bring his body back to the United Kingdom.
“He sacrificed his life to save others, and he must return home to get the proper honors. A hero’s funeral was attended by his family and friends. Please assist in bringing our hero home.”
As of Wednesday evening, GoFundMe has raised £4,590, exceeding its goal.
An FCDO spokesperson told the PA news agency, “We are assisting the family of a British guy who passed away in Ukraine and are in communication with local authorities.”
