Bradford murder: Footage reveals aftermath of fatal stabbing

According to her relatives, Kulsuma Akter, the 27-year-old victim, was “extremely caring and modest,” she “made people laugh.” A suspect in the murder investigation was apprehended by the police over 150 miles from the location of the crime.

“Very caring and humble,” according to a relative, was the mother who was fatally stabbed while pushing her infant in a pram. Police have since detained a suspect in the murder investigation.

Around 3:20 p.m. on Saturday, Kulsuma Akter, 27, from Oldham, passed away after being stabbed at the intersection of Drewton Road and Westgate, Bradford.

Although transported to the hospital, she ultimately succumbed to her injuries.

Unharmed and oblivious to the tragedy, video footage of the aftermath of the stabbing now surfaces, showing Ms Atker’s infant in a pushchair being attended to by police and her mother’s friends while unharmed.

Police initiated a pursuit for a suspect whom they subsequently identified as Habibur Masum.

Presently, the 25-year-old is under detention on suspicion of murder.

Aftab Miah, the cousin of Ms Akter, stated that she was assaulted while on her way to purchase food to break her fast during Ramadan.

“One of our acquaintances was in her presence at the time of her murder,” said the taxi driver, aged 57.

“My aunt, who is the mother of the victim, weeps ceaselessly.” She does not need for this. “Kulsuma’s companion at the time of the attack is currently in a state of profound shock.”

He further described his cousin: “She was a devoted sister.” She exuded compassion and modesty. She caused others to chuckle.

Masum, a resident of Oldham, was apprehended during the wee hours of this morning in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, which is over 150 miles distant.

During the investigation, a 23-year-old man was additionally apprehended in Cheshire on charges of alleged criminal assistance.

His apprehension continues.

In the course of their inquiry into the stabbing, the police previously executed a “number of raids” throughout Burnley, Oldham, and Chester.

West Yorkshire Police has filed a referral with the Independent Office for Police Conduct on account of communications with the victim before her demise.

Supporting Ms Akter’s family are officers with specialised training.

Detective Chief Inspector Stacey Atkinson of the West Yorkshire Police stated, “A mother has perished in the most abhorrent of circumstances; this is a tragic incident.”

“It is our knowledge that this has generated significant apprehension within the local community.” Assuring the community, local neighbourhood policing teams are conducting patrols in the vicinity.
