Coastguard, police, medical personnel, and the RNLI participated in the search off Trearddur Bay, North Wales.

An extensive search has concluded after a person was dragged into the sea from Anglesey cliffs.

After a “serious police incident” was reported at Ravens Point at 7:05 p.m. on Saturday, the operation took place at Trearddur Bay in North Wales.

The Maritime and Coastguard Agency resumed the search early on Sunday, but it was “stopped” shortly thereafter.

It was stated that the search was conducted in rough seas and powerful winds, with “rope team members entering the water.”

A statement continued, “An HM Coastguard search and rescue helicopter and RNLI lifeboats were dispatched from Caernarfon and Treaddur Bay, respectively.”

“Coastguard Rescue Teams from Cemaes, Holyhead, Moelfre, Penmon, and Rhosneigr were involved. The search was terminated shortly after 4:00 p.m.”

A spokesperson stated that it was unlikely that the search would resume in the absence of new information.
