After being deported to England by Turkey on Wednesday, he was apprehended at Luton Airport, Bedfordshire.

The 38-year-old is charged with possessing a firearm for terrorist-related purposes.

Following an investigation by the Counter Terrorism Command of the Metropolitan Police, he was charged with Terrorism Act 2000 violations under sections 15, 17, and 57.

In 2014, the CPS authorized the Metropolitan Police to charge Mr. Davis with terrorism-related offenses.

He has spent over six years incarcerated in a Turkish prison.

He is accused of being the fourth member of the Islamic State (IS) group that tortured and murdered western hostages in Iraq and Syria, a claim he disputes.

Mohammed Emwazi, the gang’s leader, was murdered by a US drone attack seven years ago.

Two others were apprehended in Syria and extradited to the United States, where they were both convicted of some of the most heinous acts in modern history.

Due to the members’ English accents, the terrorist cell was dubbed “The Beatles,” after the Liverpool band.
