An 11-year-old girl who went missing at water sports and entertainment park has died.

Saturday at 15:55 BST, police were summoned to the lake at Liquid Leisure Windsor in Datchet, Berkshire, when a kid got into danger.

She was discovered by emergency services more than an hour later and transported to the hospital, where she subsequently died.

The public members who entered the water to search for her have been commended for their courage.

According to the Thames Valley Police, her death is being considered unexplained and an inquiry has been initiated.

Superintendent Michael Greenwood stated, “This episode has been tremendously painful and distressing for all parties concerned.”

Several members of the public entered the lake shortly after she had trouble “but were unable to locate her,” he said.

He continued, “I would want to praise them for their bravery and courage.”

At the scene, police officers were joined by the Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service, Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service, Surrey Fire and Rescue Service, and South Central Ambulance Service.

The National Police Air Service was also involved in the search, however, it is unclear where exactly the missing girl was located.

The girl’s family has been notified, and cops are assisting them.

The Windsor and Maidenhead local police area commander, Superintendent Greenwood, expressed his “deepest condolences” and asked that the family’s privacy be “respected.”

He stated, “We are just beginning our investigation into this incident to fully comprehend the circumstances.”

Liquid Leisure Windsor identifies itself as “Europe’s largest aqua park” and offers wakeboarding, a floating obstacle course on the lake, open water swimming, and boat rides.

The company announced on its Facebook page that it will be closed on Sunday.

It expressed its sympathies to all those touched by “this unfortunate and distressing occurrence.”

While police are still in the preliminary phases of their inquiry, Liquid Leisure Windsor stated that it will “continue to fully support and help them throughout the process.”
