A four-year-old kid died following a “severe medical episode” at a Center Parcs resort, according to authorities.
The incident occurred in a swimming pool.
At approximately 11:00 GMT, Wiltshire Police officers responded to the Longleat Forest recreational complex in Wiltshire to assist the South Western Ambulance Service.
The police department said that the boy’s death was not suspicious and that its thoughts were with the child’s family.
No other details on the incident’s nature were released.
Extremely challenging times
A representative of Center Parcs stated: “We are devastated by the dreadful news that one of our young guests has died.
“We express our sympathy to the family as well as to our colleagues who provided prompt aid.
Our prayers continue to be with the family during this terrible time.
A Christmas traveler staying at Center Parcs reported to PA News that there was a temporary barrier at the pool’s entrance.
The Midlands mother of five stated that the resort had announced publicly that the Subtropical Swimming Paradise water park would remain closed on Christmas Eve.
She said, “If I hadn’t been in the group or seen the announcement on the news, I wouldn’t have known.”
It does state that there will be an announcement on the pool later on today.
