Following the incident, which took place just before 3 pm in Cambridge adjacent to the River Cam, police are looking for witnesses.
Three teens were detained after a 17-year-old boy was fatally stabbed in a “targeted attack” in Cambridge, including two 14-year-olds.
Following the assault at Logan’s Meadow, a small nature preserve near the River Cam, a 17-year-old was also detained.
Just before 3 o’clock, the ambulance service contacted the police at the site.
The teenager was pronounced deceased despite the efforts of rescue personnel, according to Cambridgeshire Constabulary.
Police are pursuing several possibilities, but according to Detective Superintendent Carl Foster of the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit, they believe the attack was “targeted.”
