Giorgia Meloni stated that her friend Nicoletta Golisano and two other women should not have died in this manner.
Giorgia Meloni, the prime minister of Italy, has paid tribute to a friend who was one of three individuals killed in Rome when a shooter opened fire.
Three ladies were murdered at a cafe in the northeastern neighborhood of Fidene, where a meeting of apartment block occupants was taking place.
After the incident, a 57-year-old man from Rome was apprehended.
The filming took place within the cafe’s enclosed outside seating area, known as Il Posto Giusto. According to accounts, a fourth victim received severe injuries.
Ms. Meloni devoted a post to her friend Nicoletta Golisano, who was one of the victims, on Instagram.
“For me, she will always be this gorgeous and joyful,” Ms. Meloni wrote with a photo of the two of them standing together.
It is not acceptable to die in this manner.
Her acquaintance was characterized as a “protective mother, a real and discreet friend, a strong and frail woman.”
According to Ms. Meloni, Ms. Golisano, 50, is survived by her husband and 10-year-old son.
After the incident, the police arrested the suspect who was overwhelmed by other locals. A witness disclosed to Rai News that he had been involved in several disagreements with the homeowners’ group.
Another eyewitness was described by the Italian news agency Ansa as stating, “He entered the room, shut the door, and yelled, ‘I’ll kill you all!’ before opening fire.”
At least one of the four more victims sustained critical injuries.
Ms. Meloni noted that a shooting range from which the suspect stole the weapon used in the crime has been shuttered and placed under investigation by the authorities.
